His clients included Elizabeth Taylor and opera singer Maria Callas and part of why they flocked to him was his ability to create stunning evening wear. His hallmark pieces were based on simple lines but with a masterful attention to construction. He shunned overt ornamentation and instead focused on cut and fabric to convey his vision for each piece. This is
