Using a telephoto lens I was able to zoom in close to the beach and waited from the next wave too come onshore giving three distinct variations of color

The motion of the water can be mesmerizing

From the way the light hits the ice and the ever changing effects of the water of the piece of ice

Snow and Ice Size:16"x20" The folded card is 5"x7"Standing on Mendenhall Lake recently I looked down at the fresh snow on the lake which was frozen in my area. I have noticed over the past winters when in Juneau the different shape the snow takes which you can see on the ice itself in this image. As the coverage of snow varied I used this to build negative and positive space in the image created.
